"Overall this was a very good stay. You take your shoes off upon entering the hotel. You are not allowed to wear your shoes. You get the traditional vibe. The room was clean. The staff were attentive. Our room did not have a bath tub. If you have tattoos you will NOT be able to use the spa/sauna bath. Which I know Japan is notorious for not allowing tattoos. But I was hoping since so many tourists stay there they would be a little lenient. "

"Overall excellent property. Nice lobby. Appears they change the art installations frequently . Few quirks they take away the water from the lobby in the evenings. Also the bakery opens at 8 am. Would be ideal if opened earlier. Excellent rooftop. "

"The Granvia is an excellent hotel if you are coming into Kyoto on the Shinkansen. It is located right in Kyoto Station and is easily walkable to get there with luggage. The hotel is beautiful and very clean. The staff were all very nice and helpful. We would definitely stay there again if we are in Kyoto."

"This is a very nice property. It has a lot of foreign travelers. We met many people in a tour group from Britain where we are from the USA. I really enjoyed the breakfast atmosphere. It’s quite relaxing and they played classical music. The breakfast was excellent, except the omelette was not well cooked. "This hotel is perfect. While it was small, it was still big enough for a family of four. We loved that it was literally right across the street from Koto station which itself is a sight to see with the awesome bridge and all of the architecture in the station itself. It was super easy to get anywhere in town. Also we Uber eats from a Thai restaurant to the room and it was amazing. It’s a really great upscale hotel with a lounge open to all guest with books and tea coffee and matcha!"

"I very much enjoyed my stay here and would highly recommend staying here. "That was great to stay at Karan hotel. We’v got there little early and I didn’t expect that we can check in! We loved welcome drink and wet towels when we checked in. Also we loved rental bicycles. We could move around in Kyoto so smooth. And we loved the bathroom so nice."
